About Me

This blog is my space to share something very personal—my journey through a diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma. It’s a form of blood cancer I never expected, and I’m still learning how to talk about it, live with it, and process everything that comes with it.

Writing has always helped me think, breathe, and find meaning in hard things. This blog gives me a way to do that while also staying connected to the people I love—even those I haven’t had the chance to talk to yet. There are many I wanted to tell in person, but it’s not always possible, and I hope you’ll receive this space in the loving spirit it’s written in.

Why “My Anchor Holds”?

Because through everything—every appointment, every moment of fear or fatigue—I’ve held tightly to the truth that I am not alone. My faith has anchored me in ways I can’t fully explain, but I feel it. And even on the hardest days, that anchor holds.

Why I’m Sharing

Another reason I’m writing this blog is to share my experience in the hope that it might help someone else. Whether it’s recognizing early symptoms, feeling less alone, knowing what questions to ask, or simply finding the courage to keep going—I want this space to be more than just a journal. I want it to educate, encourage, and advocate.

If even one person feels seen, supported, or empowered because of something I’ve written, then this blog—and this journey—will have been worth it.

I don’t know what each day will bring. But I’ll keep writing.
And if you’re here walking alongside me—thank you.

With hope,
– Cynthia
